Polymath Games is the indie game studio of me, Kelly Weaver. Calling it a studio is a little generous actually, considering that it’s really just one guy who sometimes sits at his computer.
I work on my games in my spare time, which is a rather good thing, as my endeavor so far hasn’t been enough to support even a meager living. This issue is compounded by the fact that I’m a healthy eater.
I work full time writing software, and spend my spare time also writing software, while additionally attempting to create art. I try to combine these two magnificent powers to produce interesting games. I’ll be sure to let you know if I’m ever successful.
Though not the first game I undertook when I decided to start making games, it’s certainly the one I’ve worked on the longest. Mort began production in October of 2010. I originally only intended it to take around three or so months to complete. We can see how well I’ve been able to stick to that deadline.
The history of this project is long and storied, only a fraction of which is contained on this site. The game itself has been rewritten three times now, and the graphics overhauled. There have been numerous times in which I’ve grown so frustrated with it that I simply wanted to shelf it forever. However, I can never stay away long, and work on Mort continues.
The Haunting of Magnolia Manor
Magnolia Manor was a game written in about a month’s time. It was written in the midst of Mort’s production as a short term break from such a large project. It was released around Halloween 2011, and is available across multiple flash portals, including Newgrounds and Kongregate, and even on this very site.
